  • Tracking Black Rhinos at Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe finally paid off. Any time spent with these rare, prehistoric-looking creatures is a privilege. Poaching in  2012 reached an unsustainable level, and these critically endangered titans of the natural world need immediate help to survive.

  • This is the herd of buffalo that tried to save one of their own, who had been taken down by a pride of lion.
